Again, these are pictures that were lost, and had to be recovered, so their quality and color is distorted, but hopefully the magic of Fairy Glen is still intact. I've actually read that it's kind of a secret place, and some descriptions about it don't even include pictures so that when someone new visits Fairy Glen, its scene comes as a surprise. This excursion was another favorite of mine. On our way from the Isle of Skye to our hotel at Loch Ness, Scotland, we stopped at Fairy Glen, a small, wondrous valley filled with cone-shaped hills, fairy circles, and perhaps home to fairies. It's slightly eery and bizarre, and completely delightful, adding to the lore of fairies in Scotland. We climbed up the steep grassy, sometimes rocky terrain, and had lunch once we reached the summit. The boys found a note left by a fairy, asking them to make a wish at a fairy circle - Jasper wished that he could see a fairy on his birthday, and Oliver wished for more candy.
